Even more volume, even more space and even more customisation options. The French company Dufour Yachts is optimising its Grand'Large cruising range and presenting a completely new concept for the use of space below deck with the new 382.

The standard version comes with a long pantry line at the side of the saloon. An arrangement that has become rare on the current market. Alternatively, a conventional layout with an L-pantry at the side of the companionway is also available. And, the customer can choose between two or three cabins and - as an exclusive feature in the class of cruising yachts with a hull length of around eleven metres - has the option of having the boat fitted with two heads compartments.

But the Dufour 382 also cuts a fine figure under sail in the test and shines with its high performance potential and excellent sailing characteristics. The purely cruising-orientated design by Umberto Felci shows a very lively and even sporty side, especially downwind.

The comprehensive test of the Dufour 382 Grand'Large, including an overview of the competition, will be published in the next issue of YACHT, No. 1/2015, which will be available from newsagents from Wednesday 17 December.

As an incentive, here are the first pictures from the YACHT exclusive test in the gallery:
